Veronica Cabrera-Moreno, also known as "Roni," is a dynamic Houston native and fervent advocate for the arts, especially in underserved communities. Believing that "Art is part of everything in life," Roni sees creativity as essential for human growth. Raised by an artistic father, she discovered her passion for art early on, using it as a form of expression after his passing.
Rooted in her Hispanic heritage, Roni's artwork blends vibrant colors and mixed media, often exploring Indigenous culture through collaborations with local groups. Beyond traditional canvases, she extends her artistry to murals and even body painting.
Dedicated to increasing art accessibility, Roni launched The Art Bus in 2020, bringing art directly to diverse neighborhoods across Houston. Her efforts garnered national recognition in 2021 from figures like Kelly Clarkson, Amy Poehler, and HEB. Building on this success, she founded Art in the HEART, a community-centered art hub offering programs like summer camps and cultural events. Together with her family, Roni continues to uplift her community, leaving a lasting impact on Houston's cultural landscape.
